our Services / CELLULOSE FIBER INSULATION
Cellulose fiber insulation can be blown into wall spaces and attics to provide a tight and cost effective insulation. Typically made from chopped newspaper cellulose can be used for sound deadening and for thermal insulation.
In comparison to spray foam insulation cellulose will provide adequate coverage for projects on a tight budget. On average cellulose will provide around 30R value when applied in a 9" layer.
The cellulose insulation we use has been treated with a fire retardant which can slow down the spread in the event of a fire.
Reduce sound power by up to 60%. By stopping direct airflow cellulose does not allow any tiny holes or gaps to allow sound to penetrate to the next room.
Cellulose fiber requires 13 times less energy to manufacture than fiberglass insulation. It's also made with 85% post consumer paper and is free from mun healthy substances such as asbestos and formaldehyde.
